You will receive an email with a confirmation link, that will have you create a password, then log you in. Go to this link for Version 17 and above Once you are logged into the PerkinElmer portal. Choose the appropriate items and download. This will download an installer. You need to click Continue and accept PerkinElmer's license terms until the software is downloaded. Open the downloaded software installer. Agree again to accept PerkinElmer's license terms.

Drag the software to your Applications folder. Run the downloaded software. CAM-Chem results for a subset of the globe and a range of dates can be downloaded from this page. Output is provided every 6 hours.

Each request is provided as a single netcdf file. We strongly recommend that you download a single day for your region to check the file size and then request a range of dates that will result in a manageable file size.

Requests for time spans longer than 32 days are not supported. The 'date' and 'datesec' variables contain the date and time of the CAM-Chem output. If you are unsure whether or not the shared data directories are available to you, ask your sysadmin or IT staff. This can drastically reduce the number of data files that you need to download.
